Philippe Marion is a Lyon-based writer and screenwriter, born in Marseille in 1983. He writes poetic, high-concept auteur stories: intimate and atmospheric, with philosophical and spiritual undertones, built on the alchemy of opposites, from shadow to light, from fall to transfiguration.
Self-taught, he came to writing through acting and music creation. A graduate of KEDGE Business School in International Marketing, he began coursework at ENSATT in Live Performance Administration before devoting himself fully to writing. Nearly twenty years spent abroad, across four continents, in the United States, Canada, Japan, Luxembourg, Colombia, Belgium and Switzerland, shape his multicultural gaze.
A sociétaire (full member) of the SACD, he published his first poetry collection, Des Larmes et des Sourires (Amalthée Editions, 2014). His second collection, La Chute de Babel, marks the culmination of an inner journey where the deeply personal meets the universal.
For the screen, his short script The Box / La Boîte, a regional PACA laureate of the Prix de la Jeunesse “60 à Cannes” in 2007, has since won Best Super Short Script at the Cannes Film Awards and Best Unproduced Screenplay at the Dialog Film Festival, and reached the semi-finals of Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. His animated screenplay Adaman'Ishah won Best Animation Screenplay at the Oxford Script Awards and was a finalist at the Cambridge Script Festival.
Philippe Marion est auteur et scénariste, installé à Lyon, né à Marseille en 1983. Il écrit des histoires d'auteur poétiques et high-concept : intimes et atmosphériques, teintées de résonances philosophiques et spirituelles, construites sur l'alchimie des contraires, de l'ombre à la lumière, de la chute à la transfiguration.
Autodidacte, il est venu à l'écriture par le jeu d'acteur et la création musicale. Diplômé de KEDGE Business School en marketing international, il a commencé un cursus à l'ENSATT en administration du spectacle vivant avant de se consacrer entièrement à l'écriture. Près de vingt années vécues à l'étranger, sur quatre continents, aux États-Unis, au Canada, au Japon, au Luxembourg, en Colombie, en Belgique et en Suisse, nourrissent son regard multiculturel.
Sociétaire de la SACD, il a publié un premier recueil de poésie, Des Larmes et des Sourires (Éditions Amalthée, 2014). Son second recueil, La Chute de Babel, marque l'aboutissement d'un cheminement intérieur où l'intime rejoint l'universel.
Pour l'écran, son court scénario The Box / La Boîte, lauréat régional PACA du Prix de la Jeunesse « 60 à Cannes » en 2007, a depuis remporté le prix du Meilleur scénario ultra-court aux Cannes Film Awards et celui du Meilleur scénario non produit au Dialog Film Festival, et atteint les demi-finales du Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. Son scénario d'animation Adaman'Ishah a remporté le prix du Meilleur scénario d'animation aux Oxford Script Awards et a été finaliste au Cambridge Script Festival.
