Biographie
Philippe Marion est né à Marseille en 1983. Autodidacte, formé au jeu d'acteur et à la création musicale, il est écrivain et scénariste, installé à Lyon, et se consacre à la littérature et au cinéma. Diplômé de KEDGE Business School en marketing international, il a également commencé un cursus à l'ENSATT en administration du spectacle vivant avant de se vouer entièrement à l'écriture.
Membre de la SACD, il a publié un premier recueil de poésie, Des Larmes et des Sourires (Éditions Amalthée, 2014). Son second recueil, La Chute de Babel, marque l'aboutissement d'un cheminement intérieur nourri par près de vingt années de vie à l'étranger, sur quatre continents : États-Unis, Canada, Japon, Luxembourg, Colombie, Belgique et Suisse. Son œuvre explore l'alchimie des contraires, de l'ombre à la lumière, de la chute à la transfiguration, dans une quête où l'intime rejoint l'universel.
Son court scénario The Box / La Boîte, lauréat régional PACA du Prix de la Jeunesse « 60 à Cannes » (2007), a depuis reçu une reconnaissance internationale continue. Il a été demi-finaliste au Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival (États-Unis), lauréat du prix du Meilleur scénario ultra-court aux Cannes Film Awards et lauréat du prix du Meilleur scénario non produit au Dialog Film Festival. Il a aussi été demi-finaliste au Near Nazareth Festival et en Sélection officielle au New York Tri-State International Film Festival. Il a atteint les quarts de finale à l'International Indie Film & Screenplay Festival (Paris) et à l'Auguri Film Festival (Italie, Meilleur scénario court et Meilleur scénario original). Il figure enfin en Sélection officielle au Belgrade International Film Festival, au Southern Light Festival et aux RED Movie Awards.
Son scénario d'animation Adaman'Ishah a lui aussi été distingué à l'international. Il a remporté le prix du Meilleur scénario d'animation aux Oxford Script Awards et a été finaliste au Cambridge Script Festival. Il a également été demi-finaliste au Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival et retenu en Sélection officielle au Near Nazareth Festival et au Fantasy Film Festival.
Biography
Philippe Marion was born in Marseille in 1983. Self-taught, with a background in acting and music creation, he is a Lyon-based writer and screenwriter devoted to literature and cinema. A graduate of KEDGE Business School in International Marketing, he also began coursework at ENSATT in Live Performance Administration before dedicating himself fully to writing.
A member of the SACD, he published his first poetry collection, Des Larmes et des Sourires (Amalthée Editions, 2014). His second collection, La Chute de Babel, marks the culmination of an inner journey shaped by nearly twenty years of living abroad across four continents — the United States, Canada, Japan, Luxembourg, Colombia, Belgium and Switzerland. His work explores the alchemy of opposites — from shadow to light, from fall to transfiguration — in a pursuit where the deeply personal meets the universal.
His short script The Box / La Boîte was a regional PACA laureate of the Prix de la Jeunesse "60 à Cannes" (2007), and has since received sustained international recognition: Semi-Finalist at Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival (USA), Award Winner for Best Super Short Script at the Cannes Film Awards, Award Winner for Best Unproduced Screenplay at the Dialog Film Festival, Semi-Finalist at the Near Nazareth Festival, Official Selection at the New York Tri-State International Film Festival, Quarter-Finalist at the International Indie Film & Screenplay Festival (Paris) and at the Auguri Film Festival (Italy, Best Short Screenplay & Best Original Screenplay), and Official Selection at the Belgrade International Film Festival, the Southern Light Festival and the RED Movie Awards.
